Normally the knitted fabrics are easier to make-to-order in small quantity, compared with plain|twill woven fabrics. As the textile feature of knitting techniques, knitted fabrics have an outstanding advantage of fabric width. It’s easy to expand the width to 1.5/1.8 /2 meters, on the other hand, that’s a lot of circular-knitting machines were planted to produce the 1.8&2 meters in width. Plain or twill woven pattern of para-aramid(Kevlar) fabrics have the ordinary width of 1/1.2/1.5 meter. For instance, 1.8 meters and 2 meters of width rarely related to woven fabrics for the in-stock models.

Please take a kind reminder from Kevin, some of the cheapest knitted fabrics which were named by the seller as para-aramid fabric, but have the white color in the middle(sandwich) layer of the fabrics. It turns out obviously that, at least half of the fabric is not para-aramid(Kevlar), so it should not be called 100% para-aramid knitted fabric but only half of. For more specific, even the white material is meta-aramid(Nomex), it has different features to pure para-aramid-knitted fabric, like tensile strength is truly not as strong as the 100% para-aramid ones.
